This cave apartment is situated about 300 metres from the troglodyte holiday complex Cuevas Al Jatib and has access for cars.

The Ermitaño cave

belongs to a family member that comes only once a year to Baza and kindly offers his home to those of our guests who love simplicity and the authentic life in this typical local habitat. Indeed, when he started renovating the cave, his intention was to keep its layout and look exactly as it was when the ancient dwellers still occupied it, without any luxuries but enough to make your stay enjoyable. The hermit´s cave is a little bit different from the other 5 cave apartments and is ideal for those in search of the essence of rural living. The cave is spacious, has a porch and a patio as well as a big esplanade with beautiful views over the Sierra de Baza mountain range and the amazing semi-arid countryside that surrounds us.

Some people adore the writer’s corner, to put down on paper impressions and ideas or just to write a postcard with holiday greetings.

The cave is structured as follows: 2 double rooms and one walk-through single bedroom. It is the access room for the bathroom. One double room is separated by a curtain from the bathroom. The Ermitaño has a combined dining and living room with an open fire and a small kitchen equipped with everything (electric, worktop, microwave, fridge with a little freezer compartment, toaster, coffeemaker, kitchenware and washing machine). Please note that there is no dish-washer or oven.
